SUMMER MOTORING – SUNSCREEN DAMAGE

SUMMER MOTORING – SUNSCREEN DAMAGE

Hoping everyone’s having a great summer and many of you managed to get away for a well deserved break.

The weathers been pretty warm so I’m sure that car air conditioning has been getting regular use! Also ensure that windscreen is clean inside and out so you can see clearly when sun strike hits!

Did you know that sunscreen is very problematic for paintwork so do your best not to touch your vehicle with your hands or spray close by. It will leave marks and a clean wont get it off.  Even a cut and polish will only fade it a little briefly. Generally a complete repaint is required. So take extreme care.

Now with all that summer motoring  you may have clocked up a few kilometres so we may need to see you? Or some funny noises after some gravel roads. Note the general rule of thumb for a service is annually or every 10 000 km. So perhaps a quick check of that windscreen lube sticker and your kilometres wont go astray.

If you do need to come for a visit just give us a call to book in. Its always best to keep your vehicle in tip top shape and safe.

Did you know WOF failure rates average around 38% with the most common reasons being – tyres, brakes & steering. All important components for safety of a vehicle. Bulbs & wipers are also common failure reasons but at least aren’t generally as expensive to replace/repair.

You can get your warrant of fitness (wof) upto 14 days in advance of expiry date and dont loose any days. So something to think about so you don’t have a big panic on.

Looking forward to being of service to you in 2020.
